Keith Paarporn received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in May 2018, having completed his dissertation on 'Information and Decision-making in Socio-biological Systems' under the supervision of Prof. Weitz and co-supervisor Prof. Yorai Wardi (ECE). Keith's thesis research investigates the role information plays in three distinct multi-agent systems
that appear in biological and social contexts:
- Noisy communication in social dilemmas of cooperation.
- Individual awareness and its impact on the spread of disease in networks.
- Influence information and incentives to mitigate tragedies of the commons.
Dr. Paarporn will be moving to UCSB to start a postdoc with Prof. Jason Marden (ECE).
